The
American Studies Center and Real Audio®
As of August 1996, the American Studies Center of the Salzburg Seminar has broadcast
selected lectures from American Studies and English as a Foreign Language workshops live
over the Internet. To listen to these broadcasts, you will need:
- A computer connected to the World Wide Web.
- A sound card connected to your computer with either speakers or headphones.
- A RealAudio player installed on the computer, (which can be downloaded for free at the RealNetworks website).
IMPORTANT
You will need to have version 2 of this player or higher (the current release version, which we reccomend, is
called "RealPlayer G2").
Older versions of the players will not be able to display many of the new features which we will be implementing, and may present difficulties with live broadcasts.
American Studies Center lectures will be broadcast live from approximately
09:00 to 10:30 Central European Time (3:00am 4:30am Eastern Standard time in the US) on
specific days during the workshop.
Once broadcast, the lectures will be placed in program related archives, which you can
access below.
