About the IHJR

The Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) works with educational and public policy institutions to organize and sponsor historical discourses in pursuit of accountability, acknowledgement, and the resolution of historical disputes. The Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation (IHJR) is a project of the Salzburg Global Seminar.

Richard Goldstone,
Chair, IHJR Advisory Committee
"If we can get historians to agree on versions of disputed history that are important that would be an enduring contribution. Even if there's agreement to disagree, that's better then having a fabrication or a partial version. That is the idea of the IHJR."

Richard Goldstone excerpt from his remarks at the International Bar Association, Prague, September 2005.
